This novel is the sequel of The Spell Sword. After The forbidden tower, you can also read The bloody sun which tells the "end" of the story. In order to obtain background information about one important character of The Forbidden Tower (Leonie Hastur), you can also read Rediscovery.

A very interesting novel which gives valuable information about the laran, especially about the way this old science turns into superstition.
